RunWild will be hosting a weekend full of fun in surrounding Edmonton communities for the whole family to enjoy.
May 2nd: WildOnes Kid’s MaraFun
Kiddos ages 4-12 are encourage register for the WildOnes MaraFun- a 1.2km run/walk. Races will be hosted in Spruce Grove and Sherwood Park.
May 3rd: RunWild
Races include 5km, 10km, half marathon, and a WildOnes MaraFun all hosted in St.Albert.
Each $25 Stripes & Sandwiches package includes a full lunch from Fifendekel and the purchase of a stuffed Buddy Dog will be donated directly to a child receiving support at the Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.

RunWild is excited to return to in-person racing, where they can celebrate 10 years of running through the streets of St. Albert on May 15, 2022! Events include the 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and WildOnes Kids MaraFun.
Don’t forget to check out the Race Village, which includes a kids’ fun zone, live entertainment, food and beverages and much more. As a result of the success of our virtual race format last year, we will also be offering the virtual option again for 2022 for all race distances.
Our WildOnes MaraFun is expanding as well! WildOnes MaraFun racers will have the option to RunWild with us on Saturday May 14, 2022, in Sherwood Park or Spruce Grove at our satellite locations, or they can join us in St. Albert on Sunday May 15, 2022. Parking and Check- In: Parking is available in the main parking lot. There is overflow parking in the gravel lot near the Administration building (turn right onto the service road and take a quick left). Make your way to the front entry plaza and look for the check-in table. Please print this email or present the email with your phone at the registration table when you arrive to confirm your purchase and be checked-in.
12pm-4pm: Enjoy music, fair foods, dance party, unlimited carnival rides and games, and airbrush face painting!
12:30pm-3:30pm: Take a ride on the Fort Edmonton Park Streetcar to get a look at the different parts of the park.
4pm: Fort Edmonton Park Midway closes.
If you are planning on arriving later, the park gate and check-in table close at 3:00pm. This is an outdoor event. Please dress casual and for the weather. Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking on gravel and uneven ground.

The Ruby Gala is a high-end fashion show event held in support of a local charity each year. This year, proceeds raised at the event will be donated to the Zebra Child Protection Centre. The Ruby Gala will take place October 5, 2019, at the beautiful Epcor Tower in Edmonton, AB.
Fundraising events like the Ruby Gala help to provide vital funding required to support victims of child abuse. These events also assist in spreading the message that child abuse is not tolerated and that we are all responsible for supporting and advocating for the most vulnerable population in our community – children.

The Edmonton Oilers Charity Golf Tournament is the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation’s signature fundraising event for the 2019-20 season. The event will support the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and two beneficiaries operating in northern Alberta.
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is a proud supporter of Oil Country and has been contributing to our community's success since 2001. With a focus on programs that support health and wellness, education and minor hockey programming for youth, the Oilers Foundation is deeply committed to its goal of helping to enrich lives and eradicate social issues while finding long-term solutions to build strong, vibrant and safe communities.
This year the Zebra Child Protection Centre and the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre are the two beneficiaries.
This inaugural event brought to by NEXXT Concrete and friends, features a concession, games for the kids, and a 50/50 draw.
While the event is free to attend, there are several ways for you to get involved and help support the fundraising efforts: register or join a team, become a sponsor, make a donation, and buy a hot dog or hamburger while you watch the games. Join us on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the RE/MAX Field, 12pm - 4pm.

Leading Edge Physiotherapy RunWild in support of the Zebra Child Protection Centre!
The Zebra Child Protection Centre will be hosting a one-day conference on Child Advocacy and Resilience. The CARA conference is intended for those who respond to and support children, youth, and families who have experienced abuse.
Training will include sessions to discuss the unique and vital work of Child Advocacy Centres in Alberta with a focus on supporting our Indigenous children and youth with Cheryl Whiskeyjack, executive director of Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society as well as a half-day training on compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma led by the highly sought-after Francoise Mathieu, Co-Executive Director of TEND.
Law Day is a national event every April that celebrates the signing of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It is an occasion for the public to learn about the law, the legal profession and the legal institutions that form the cornerstones of Canadian democracy.
Law Day activities across Canada are an excellent opportunity for the legal profession to educate the public about the vital role lawyers and the judiciary service in guaranteeing an open, independent and unbiased judicial system.
Activities include mock trials, courthouse tours, open citizenship courts, as well as public speaking and mock trial contests aimed at junior high and high school students.
Our Very Important Paws (VIP) Coordinator, Sarah Doolittle, and our facility dog, Fletcher, will have a booth at this event to educate the public about how child-friendly court works as well as Fletcher’s role when a child is testifying.
Rock-A-Thon is an overnight fundraiser in which over 300 students work together through endless fundraising efforts to reach their goal. The Zebra Centre has been selected as this year’s beneficiary! Students will be fundraising door-to-door, as well as online.
Events by ACE’d will be accepting donations for the Zebra Centre at their signature events.
Yoga for Today new graduate teachers will be offering yoga classes by donation every Thursday for 8 weeks beginning January 10th and concluding February 28th. Classes run from 5:30-6:45pm and will be held at #206, 2016 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park. All proceeds will be donated to the Zebra Child Protection Centre.
All Friday night rides for the first quarter of the year at YEG Cycle will be in support of the Zebra Centre. This is a great opportunity to get out, get active, and support the Zebra Centre while doing so!
