Make a one time donation
Every gift to the Zebra Centre, no matter the size, helps change the lives of children and youth who have experienced abuse, giving them safety, strength, and support.
Birdies for Kids
The Rogers Charity Classic delivers impact that goes beyond the green. Supporting 300+ children and youth charities across Alberta, this event brings community and generosity together.

Become a monthly donor
When you become a monthly donor, you join our “Striped Society.”
Your consistent and generous monthly donations enable the sustainability and growth of our Centre so we can continue to support the brave children and youth we serve.
Did you know that monthly giving is one of the easiest and best ways to support the priority needs of the Zebra Centre?

Sign up online or call 780-421-2385 to start your monthly contributions today.
Set up your donation using your credit card (we accept VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX cards) and your gift will automatically be deducted on the schedule you choose.
You’ll receive a welcome package with information about the program and a special merchandise item.
Once a year, we’ll send you the latest news and updates about how your support has helped the Zebra Centre.
At the end of the calendar year, you will receive a tax receipt for the total of your annual donations for tax return purposes.
You can cancel or change your recurring gift details at any time by calling us at 780-421-2385.
Sponsor a Buddy Dog Stuffy
Our Buddy Dogs, Captain, Moose and Zeppelin, provide comfort to children and youth at the Zebra Centre during their interview process as well as at court while they are testifying.
When you make a minimum donation of $25, you can sponsor a Buddy Dog stuffy that will be given to a child who comes to the Zebra Centre.
The gift of a Buddy Dog means children and youth can keep the support of Captain, Moose, and Zeppelin with them forever.

You will also receive a letter, along with your official tax receipt, confirming the details of your donation.

Event Sponsorship

Gifts of Securities
Donating publicly traded securities is a straightforward and tax-efficient way to create a lasting impact for the Zebra Centre. By transferring your stocks directly to the Zebra Centre, you avoid paying capital gains tax and can give the full value of your investment. The securities are sold upon receipt, and you’ll receive a charitable tax receipt for their full market value.

Mia’s Closet
Donate brand-new clothing, accessories, and shoes for children of all ages to Mia’s Closet, created in honour of our dear friend, Mia Gunter. Monetary donations are also welcome, and our team will use the funds to purchase the items most needed by the children we support.
Your donations of brand-new toys, toiletries, clothing, and gifts cards are always valued and appreciated.
Hosting a toy drive helps us keep our toy room stocked with items to celebrate the bravery of the children and youth who visit the Zebra Centre.

The Zebra Centre issues tax receipts for all donations over $20.00 CAD. Receipts that meet the following conditions are issued for the calendar tax year:
Donations must be received by, or postmarked on or before, December 31.
We must receive the full donor name and mailing address of the donor.
The tax receipt will be issued in the name of the payor of the donation; for example, if the name on the cheque or credit card is Dale Smith, the receipt will be made out to Dale Smith. The exception to this is if the cheque issuer acts as an agent for collecting and remitting donations from various people/parties (i.e., an employer of an employee fundraising initiative). Donation receipts can be issued to the persons/parties provided that the nature of the monies can be receipted and a complete and legible list of donor information (donor name, address, and postal code) is provided to the Zebra Centre.
While we can’t provide tax receipts for gifts of service, the CRA has deemed it acceptable for you to invoice us and then donate the same amount back to us after we make payment (learn more here). Neither sponsorship nor event registration fees are eligible for tax receipts as there is a transactional component to payment. However, sometimes we can provide partial receipting if we deem that the value received by the supporter is less than the price paid (learn more here).
Third party fundraiser organizers are responsible for providing a complete list of donors inclusive of full names, addresses, date of donation, and amount for us to issue tax receipts. This must be provided at the time the donation is received and must balance to the total donation amount.
