A born and raised Albertan, Lilly Miedzinski obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1968 and moved on to achieve her Medical Doctorate from the University of Alberta. From 1981 to 2015, Lilly worked as a physician at the University of Alberta Hospital. Today, Lilly is currently the Case Coordinator and Assessment Physician for the Alberta Medical Associations Physician and Family Support Program as well as Professor Emeritus at the U of A. Through her work on the board, Lilly hopes to achieve a standardized approach to child abuse that can be used to establish provincial and national standards and benchmarks. A strong advocate for the multidisciplinary approach to responding to child abuse, Lilly believes the more eyes looking at a problem the more creative and numerous the solutions.
