Director at Large
As Executive Director of the Metis Child and Family Services since 1998, Donald Langford joined the Board of the Zebra Child Protection Centre in June 2016. After spending his childhood in Edmonton’s inner city, Donald joined the Canadian Forces at 16 and spent the next 37 years serving his country, earning the rank of Master Warrant Officer, being commissioned to the rank of Captain and being employed as a health care administrator until his retirement. During this time, Donald was active in the community as a coach, community worker and addictions counselor – creating a better future for Aboriginal people through education, positive community development and strong involvement. Through his work with the Zebra Child Protection Centre, Donald hopes to advocate for increased funding, bridge cultural differences and continue to increase the involvement of our community.
