Around The Community

The Zebra Child Protection Centre is lucky to operate in a community that is supportive and cares about what we do at the centre. Below is a very small sample of what some of the local volunteers, businesses and donors are doing. At any given time, the centre is lucky enough to benefit from the great events, fundraising activities and initiatives that the people in our community are engaging in to support the work we do at the centre. Thank you to everyone who supports us and for more information on how you can get involved, visit our Donors section or contact us at (780) 421–2016.

Glenora Elementary School: Grade 6 Students Demonstrate Initiative & Leadership

After taking a tour of the Zebra Centre, the Grade 6 students at the Glenora Elementary School held a fundraiser at their school to collect money for the centre. They organized a 50/50, a raffle and several other events whiched raised over $700.00 dollars. These funds went towards the purchase of a Nintendo Wii for the Family Support room at the centre, which will definitely be enjoyed by the children at the centre.

Kids Christmas Party: Community Comes Together

Thanks to the ongoing commitment of community members, volunteers and donors, the Zebra Centre has been able to make the Kid’s Christmas Party an annual event. Special events that kids and their families can look forward to are: face painting, sleigh rides, gingerbread man decorating, brunch and a special visit from Santa Claus himself. Santa of course, does not come empty handed and has special gifts for every child. Special thanks go to our community partners for helping create a memorable holiday experience for the kids who have come to the Zebra Centre. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact the centre .
